    Default Strider/Push Bikes

So, my almost 3 year old is asking for a bike for Christmas. I've been looking at the strider and push bikes depending on what you want to call them. Does anyone on here have any experience with any of the brands. I'm looking at the Specialized Hotwalk Specialized Bicycle Components : Hotwalk Girls and I've also looked at the MyKinderbike.com as well.

Would kind of like to know peoples opinions on them. Lost of people I've talked to swear by them.

At the shop I used to work at we had several people come in and buy the Hotwalks. We never got any complaints.

    Haro Mary SS 29er

    Racing for Harpeth Bikes.

We have the Skut bike. It is made out of wood and my daughter used to fly down the hills with it. I would probably go with the strider if I were to buy one now. Saw a great video on facebook. I think it was on the Pisgah Sorba page.

I got mine at Performance bikes, I could not spend 100 bucks for a bike with no pedals. If I had had a job I might have gotten one of the nicer ones, mine does not have anywhere to put his feet like some of the other ones do. He is still to short to use it on his own, but he loves it when I push him around the yard.

I don't think you can go wrong with the above info, but would like to give you something else to think about.

My LBS had a buy-it-back for future upgrades, my shop had Trek bikes and was able to match my sons growth through the years. Not sure if it was a LBS thing, or Trek in general, but as many times as I went into the shop my son was demoing something new (yes in the shop, can't look away for a minute)

Bottom line, my sons bikes were 1/2 the weight of other Walmart bikes, and I was not on Craigs list selling something every other year. Less time and money wasted, and more trail time with the family.

That's a great idea just to recommend to my LBS.

I went with the Hotwalk. Santa brings it and we will see what she thinks. I'm guessing she'll love it. She's always watching MTB videos with me and saying cool.

I needed to write down a brief notice in buy to thanks for all the fantastic suggestions you're placing at forums.bike198.com. My prolonged internet lookup has at the finish of the day been recognized with reliable details and techniques to trade with my co-workers. I would assert that several of us readers really are seriously lucky to live in a important location with quite several excellent individuals with insightful pointers.
